The project is 1177MWp SOLAR PHOTO VOLTAIC PLANT with Plant Control room, Substations, main gatehouse, switch yards and boundary fence.
The proposed plant is region’s largest single-site solar facility and will be located in the eastern region of the emirate of Abu Dhabi, near the Nahel town of Sweihan approximately 120 km east of the city of Abu Dhabi, and in the vicinity of an existing (Sweihan 220kV Substation) high voltage substation, to which it will be connected.
Project Owner is Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority (ADWEA) and it’s a joint venture with JinkoSolar and Marubeni Corporation.
This Project will support the Emirate of Abu Dhabi’s achievements in sustainability and energy diversification through the use of renewable and clean energy, in accordance with the vision of the Late Founding Father and President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan al Nahyan.
